Rooted in the understanding that Ministry is entrusted to the Whole Church i.e. the Body of Christ and with the ensuing assumption that ministerial leadership is inclusive and collaborative; this course will guide leaners through the contours of the Ministry of the Church, embedded in the Mission of God.

This course will examine the genesis of the Church of England; assess the process by which it became one with the Church of Rome and hence part of the Western Church. Significant developments including the role King Henry VIII played in the eventual break with Rome, as well as the various movements and traditions that eventually became Anglicanism will be explored.
