Introduction to Pastoral Care

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to a range of theological and theoretical resources and approaches related to pastoral care in the context of pastoral ministry. Particular attention will be given to the area of clergy to congregant communication and relationship as well as the various areas pastoral care givers will engage and offer care. Students will be encouraged to begin the process of developing an awareness of moments for pastoral care as well as consider the unique context of clergy life.
