Survey of the New Testament

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This Course is a study of story of faith contained in the New Testament and an examination of the historical and cultural context and setting out of which the story emerged and shaped the faith of a community.  In studying this course, students will be introduced to critical methods for studying biblical texts with a view to understand the shaping and significance of the New Testament message in its original first century context and God’s will and purpose for the practice of faith in church and society.
