Survey of the Old Testament Theology

This course is organised to pay attention to both the history of Israel and the shape of the canon of the Old Testament.  The stories are read in their present form. There is no attempt to reconstruct the actual sequence of the historical events that they narrate. They are not simply report, however, of what happened. Rather, they are narrations of Israel and its faith experiences as is reflected in the shape of the canon of the Old Testament. This course covers the way Israel passed on her own faith story (HIS-story) by beginning with the Creation and move through the Pentateuch, historical books of Joshua to 2 Kings, the Prophets, and the Writings.
